Preface

The power of time off is aware that you have faith in our services. We therefore acknowledge our responsibility to protect your privacy according to the guidelines of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

On this page we let you know what information we may collect if you participate in one of our projects, activities and visit our websites, why we collect this information and how we use it to improve your user experience. We hereby trust you to offer optimum transparency about our approach and to meet your privacy rights.

This privacy policy applies to all our products and services. You must be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy policies of other websites and sources.

Through this statement we let you know what information we collect when you use our services, including our website, our social media, our video platform and our intake form, why we collect this information and how we serve you with it.

Why 

We process personal data for the following purposes:

  • To process your registration and/ or payment after you have purchased a product or service;
  • To be able to contact you if this is necessary to perform the service that you have purchased;
  • To deliver goods and services that you have purchased;
  • To improve goods and services;
  • We may use the information to customize our websites according to your interests;
  • We may use your information to contact you for market research;
  • To inform you about services and products that you have purchased previously. You can always unsubscribe from this via a link in the relevant e-mail;
  • To send the newsletters for which you have registered.
  • To inform you about promotions related to new products and services; to inform you about content that we think may be of interest to you;
  • In the event of participation in a workshop, retreat, personal development program, event or training, to determine whether participation in this “service” will not cause unforeseen and undesired problems and to realize an experience that is as optimal as possible for you;
  • To tailor our range of products and services to your preferences based on your surfing behavior. We only do this with your permission (see cookies).

What

We process your personal data because you use our services and/ or because you provide this data to us yourself. Below you will find an overview of the personal data that we may process, depending on the product or service you purchase, and the purpose for which we collect this data.

  • Date of birth: customer profile

  • Information about your activities on our websites and our e-mail system: communication purposes, customer profile, marketing purposes

Other personal data that you actively provide by registering for a retreat, personal development program, training, workshop or event, in correspondence and by telephone, that are relevant to your participation in the retreat, personal leadership program, masterclass, training or private class. Examples of this are information about injuries, complaints, allergies, dietary requirements, health, vitality, interest. This makes it possible for us to help and support you as well and safely as possible while participating in our activities and to give you an experience with impact.

For the purpose of preparing and implementing its projects, the power of time off will only share information with third parties (such as hotel, restaurant, trainer (s), facilitator (s)) to the extent that it is strictly necessary for a good, safe and Optimal production and execution of the purchased service or product or service.

We are also bound by legal and administrative obligations and, for example, we need certain information for accounting and tax returns.

E-mail communication & newsletter 

If you purchase a product or service from us, you agree to receive our periodic newsletter and you agree to the processing of your personal data in accordance with this privacy statement. You can also register for the newsletter via the website. The personal data that we register for our newsletter subscribers are the e-mail address, possibly with a name. Every newsletter that you receive from us contains a link that you can use to unsubscribe if you wish. 

Our e-mail system (Mailchimp, Gmail, Outlook) gives us access to the e-mail lists to which our customers have subscribed, which e-mails they have received from us, and which e-mails have been opened, which parts of the newsletter have been clicked and the associated linked dates. In addition, Mailchimp automatically keeps track of the user’s country and region. With this information we can determine whether the e-mails you receive are of interest to you, and if necessary better attune to your wishes so that you do not receive unwanted e-mails from us. 

When you are a member of our newsletter we will send you emails with content updates and information about new products, services and events on a regular basis. We use Mailchimp for sending e-mails. For example, if you click on a part of the e-mail, your data will be sent to this external party.

Payment details

In the case of a payment, we have insight into the payment details of our customers. Booking and payment information of our customers consists of the customer’s name, address, purchase date, payment method, email and telephone number. We process this data through our bank, payment provider Mollie and PayPal. This is always done via a secure https connection. You can see this on the address bar “https” and the padlock.

Share personal data with third parties

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do, however, provide data to external parties when necessary for the delivery of products or services and to comply with legal obligations.

Group apps

We use WhatsApp for certain services that we provide, for example, to stay in contact after a joint workshop, training or retreat or for online interactions during the BeyondU personal leadership programme. You can leave a group app at any time if you wish. It is up to you whether or not to share something in the group. You are responsible for what you share. Although we ask everyone to treat the shared information confidentially and not to share it outside the group, we cannot guarantee that this agreement will be complied with. By participating in the group app you declare that you are aware of this and agree to this.

Image and sound recordings and distribution thereof

From and at workshops, training courses, retreats and personal leadership masterclasses, we or our partners sometimes make images (photo/ video) and/ or sound recordings. This will be stated in the product/ service description as it is offered on our website or on our partner’s website. At the start of the training, workshop, retreat, masterclass or otherwise, the method of distribution will be announced. By participating in a training, workshop, masterclass, retreat or otherwise you agree with the recording and distribution thereof. If desired, it is always possible to take a seat outside the screen and/ or not actively participate in, for example, a conversation. Contact the organization for this.

By purchasing and / or participating in the relevant workshop, training, master class, retreat or otherwise, you automatically agree that we may use the photo or recording for training, communication and marketing purposes. With this you indemnify the power of time off and its partners from liability for damage as a result of the recordings or their use. Be aware that you cannot claim a monetary reimbursement (or any other form of reimbursement) based on, for example, portrait rights or the use of personal data.

Cookies and profiling

A cookie is a small information file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit a website. We use functional and analytical cookies. By combining your data – manually or with the help of cookies – we can send you more focused content and better match your interests, prior knowledge and products that you have already purchased. During your first visit to our website you are informed about the cookies we use. This permission is stored with a cookie, so that you do not receive a cookie notification at every visit. You can always change or withdraw your consent on the cookie page. Functional or technical cookies

Functional (technical) cookies ensure that the website works well on all devices and in all browsers. These cookies do not store any personal data. The cookie that stores your cookie permission also falls into this category.

Analytical cookies

Services such as Google Analytics use analytical cookies. This way we see how visitors use the website, which pages are popular, and through which channel people end up on the website. Google Analytics uses the IP addresses of website visitors for the statistics. In theory it is possible to retrieve more information about someone based on a full IP address, even if this is not permitted.

Social media

Security

The websites are built in WordPress. WordPress regularly makes updates to protect our websites. The website has an SSL certificate, recognizable by the lock in the address bar: data you provide is sent via an encrypted connection. Retention period & inspection

We do not keep your personal data for longer than necessary. If you unsubscribe from the mailing list, Mailchimp saves the deregistration to ensure that you no longer receive the newsletter. Data for which a statutory retention period applies cannot be deleted. You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer, request for withdrawal of your permission or objection to the processing of your personal data to info@thepoweroftimeoff.com

Changes

This privacy statement is tailored to the use of and the possibilities of our websites. Any adjustments and / or changes to the websites may lead to changes in this privacy statement. It is therefore advisable to regularly consult this privacy statement.

If you have any questions about this privacy statement, you can contact us using the details below. If you feel that your data is not properly protected or there are indications of abuse, please contact us.
