On this page we inform you which data we may collect if you participate in – or use – one of our events, our trainings, our websites, social media, video platform, why we collect this data and how we use it to improve your user experience. We trust that we are providing you with optimal transparency about how we work, and are meeting your privacy rights. You should be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy policies of other websites and sources. Training refers to a personal development and leadership program, a vitality program, a retreat, or any of the foregoing provided by the power of time off. A Training may consist of one or more modules. The duration of the Training can vary from one or more day sessions to one or more years.

We process personal data for the following purposes:

Below is an overview of the personal data we may process, depending on the Course you take, and the purpose for which we collect it.
– First and last name
– Date of birth
– Address information
– Phone number
– Email address
– IP address
– Information about your activities on our websites and our email system
– Other personal data you actively provide by registering for a Training or event, in correspondence and by telephone, relevant to your participation in the Training or event. Examples include information about injuries, allergies, health, motivation, experience. This enables us to help and support you in the best and safest way possible while participating in our Training or event and give you an experience with impact.
For the purpose of preparing and executing its Training, the power of time off will only share information with third parties (e.g. location, trainer(s), facilitator(s)) to the extent strictly necessary for the proper, safe and optimal production and execution of the Training. We are also bound by legal, administrative obligations and, for example, need certain data for accounting and tax returns.
Email communication & newsletterIf you purchase a Training with us, you agree to receive our periodic newsletter and agree to the processing of your personal data in accordance with this privacy statement. You can also subscribe to the newsletter via the website. The personal data we register of our newsletter subscribers are the email address and your name and possibly company name. In every newsletter you receive from us there is a link to unsubscribe from the newsletter if you wish.
Our email system (Mailchimp) gives us insight into the email lists our customers subscribe to, which emails they have received from us, and which emails have been opened, which parts of the newsletter have been clicked on and the associated dates. In addition, Mailchimp automatically keeps track of the user’s country and region. This information allows us to determine whether the emails you receive are of interest to you, and if necessary, to better tailor them to your needs so that you do not receive unwanted emails from us. If you are a member of our newsletter, we will send you regular emails with content updates and information about new Training courses and events. We use Mailchimp for sending emails. If you click on a section of the email, for example, your data will be transferred to this external party.
Payment data
In the case of a payment, we have insight into our customers’ payment details. Booking and payment details of our customers consist of the customer’s name, address details, purchase date, payment method, email and phone number. We process this data through our bank, payment provider Ideal, Mollie and PayPal. This is always done through a secure https connection. You can tell this by the address bar ‘https’ and the padlock.
Sharing personal data with third parties
We do not sell your data to third parties. However, we do provide data to external parties as necessary for the delivery of a Training and to comply with legal obligations.
Group apps
For certain Training courses we deliver we use Whatsapp. For example, to stay in touch after a joint Training or event. Or for online interactions during the BeyondU personal leadership program. You can leave a group chat by yourself at any time if you wish. It is up to you whether or not to share anything in the group. You are responsible for what you share. Although we ask everyone to keep the information shared confidential and not to share it outside the group, we cannot guarantee that this agreement will be respected. By participating in the group chat, you declare that you are aware of this and agree to it.
Image and sound recordings and distribution
From and at certain events or trainings we or our partners sometimes make image (photo/video) and/or sound recordings. This will be mentioned in the communication as offered on our website, on the website of our partner and/or in communication by email. The method of dissemination will be communicated at the beginning of the Training or event. By participating/participating in the Training or event or otherwise, you agree to be recorded and distributed. If desired, it is always possible to take a seat off-screen and/or not actively participate. Please contact the organization for this.
By purchasing and/or participating in a Training or event or otherwise, you agree without question that we may use the photo, video or audio recording for training, communication and marketing purposes. You hereby release the power of time off and its partners from liability for damages resulting from the recordings or their use. Be aware that you cannot claim monetary compensation (or compensation otherwise) on the basis of, for example, portrait rights or use of personal data.
Cookies and profiling
A cookie is a small information file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone the first time you visit a website. We use functional and analytical cookies. By combining your data – manually or with the help of cookies – we can send you more targeted content and better match your interests, prior knowledge and Courses you have already purchased or participated in. On your first visit to our website, you were informed about the cookies we use. This consent is stored with a cookie so that you do not receive a cookie notification with every visit. Functional or technical cookies
Functional (technical) cookies ensure that the website works properly on all devices and in all browsers. These cookies do not store any personal data. The cookie that stores your cookie consent also falls into this category.
Analytical cookies
Services such as Google Analytics use analytical cookies. This allows us to see how visitors use the website, what popular pages are, and through which channel people arrive at the website. Google Analytics uses the IP addresses of website visitors for statistics. In theory, it is possible to find out more information about someone on the basis of a full IP address, even though this is not permitted.
Social media

Security
The websites are built in wordpress. Regular updates are made by wordpress to secure our websites. The website has an SSL certificate, recognizable by the padlock in the address bar: data you provide is sent via an encrypted connection. If you do not see this lock, please contact info@thepoweroftimeoff.com.
Retention period & inspection
We will not keep your personal data longer than necessary. If you unsubscribe from the mailing list, Mailchimp stores the unsubscription to ensure that you no longer receive the newsletter. Data subject to a statutory retention period cannot be deleted. You can send a request for correction, deletion, data transfer, request for withdrawal of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to info@thepoweroftimeoff.com.
Changes
This privacy statement is tailored to the use of and the possibilities on our websites. Any adjustments and/or changes to the websites, may lead to changes in this privacy statement. It is therefore advisable to regularly consult this privacy statement.
