Which human skills do you need to boost humanity at work and to increase your professional influence? Do you have the ambition to be a role model as a resilient and self-confident general practitioners in 21st century?
Let’s talk about sex. This is the theme of the 2020 conference for aspiring general practitioners. The naked truth is research shows general practitioners often lack of knowledge and skills and find it shameful to ask patients intimate questions such as ‘Do you ever have complaints while making love?’ Research also shows patients like to talk about it, but don’t want to start talking about it. Here is a task for the general practitioner, but how do you do this?
There was the opportunity to join the workshop of the power of time off during the conference. Participants discovered and experienced how to connect mind, body and heart and to develop soft skills in order to make it natural to talk about sex. After this workshop general practitioners will no longer be hesitant to discuss the benefits and burdens of sexuality with their patients.
In short: boost soft skills to increase professional impact
